Revolutionizing the telecom business with Microsoft Ecosystem – A Groundbreaking Success Story
Novatel was established in 2004 as a part of the Deutsche Telekom Group. As a member of one of Europe’s largest telecommunications companies, Novatel provides a competitive alternative in the Bulgarian communication market. As Novatel’s business continued to grow, the need for a flexible and scalable integrated software solution became imperative. A crucial requirement for the new management solution was to encompass the entire sales lifecycle, from initial lead entry, through the offering of flexible terms and options during the quotation stage, all the way to contract signing and billing. At the same time, Novatel also aimed to diversify its range of services and products by providing more flexible bundles of telecom and cloud services. Their goal was to expand their market presence and engage more effectively with clients and their evolving needs.
Through a collaboration with the local Microsoft office, COREFIN was chosen as the preferred partner to solve those requirements. COREFIN’s solution for Telecoms and Datacenters, built on MS Dynamics 365, stepped on the standard sales process of Dynamics, and expanded it to be tailored specifically for the industry. COREFIN provided the needed flexibility for product configuration and pricing based on various units of measurement as well as the combination of products into bundles. Furthermore, the ready-made solution was adaptable enough to encompass the contract amendment process and the complex product billing, inherent for this sector. Additionally, to streamline the entire with a single integrated solution, COREFIN introduced their in-house built connector from CRM to NAV to manage end-to-end the billing and payment lifecycle. To facilitate this process, additional interfaces to external systems were introduced to gather consumption data as an enhancement to the system.
